Landscape Architecture in the Age of Climate Crisis – How Can We Reshape Landscape and Agriculture? Landscape is not just an aesthetic element, it is a fundamental life support system. Merrick Denton-Thompson will present how monoculture agriculture has destroyed soil health and the impact this has on climate change, water resources and biodiversity. Why is the sustainability of food production at risk? How can a farm become both profitable and environmentally friendly? The presentation will also explore the recent land use reforms in the UK, which Denton-Thompson directly helped to shape. If you are curious about how agricultural and landscape architecture practices can be transformed to be truly sustainable – this is a talk not to be missed!
