Beyond Biodiversity – How to Design Truly Sustainable Urban Green Spaces? Biodiversity is more than a buzzword – it is the key to ensuring that our urban green spaces are resilient, ecologically stable and aesthetically appealing. In his presentation, Attila Vincze will demonstrate how to achieve a balance between natural processes and human intervention, while creating a sustainable, biodiverse urban environment. Why do we need to rethink the role of biodiversity in urban landscape architecture? What practical methods can be used to ensure the long-term survival of green spaces? How does the way they are maintained affect the ecological balance of urban plant communities? The presentation will present strategies for increasing biodiversity through concrete examples, such as the green spaces of the Gellért Hill Citadel and the development of the Budapest Green Space Rating System. If you are interested in how to create more livable and sustainable green spaces by harmonizing nature and urban life, you must see this presentation!
