City Parks Reimagined – The History of the Transformation of the City Park. The City Park is not only one of the largest parks in Budapest, but also a green space of historical significance that has been continuously changing over the past centuries. In his presentation, György Szloszjár will present the process of rethinking the park, the coordination of historical fidelity and modern urban needs.How was the City Park rebuilt based on Henrik Nebbien’s original plans? What green space and water management strategies help the park’s sustainability? How did the new system of the park’s sports and community spaces develop?The project was an 8-year planning and construction process, with more than 110,000 working hours, the planting of 300,000 perennial plants and complex water management solutions.
