Planning diverse and species rich perennial plantings is very time consuming. To minimize the time requirement of the planning process the concept of randomly mixed plantings was developed. In trials at Anhalt University numerous combinations with low maintenance demands were tested. The principles of composing proper perennial mixtures for diverse habitats, their maintenance demands and exemplary applications will be discussed in the presentation. It will also show results of a comparison between plantings on different substrates.
The lecture is also available in Hungarian and English.
