Design Ideas Competition
A Public Park for the 21st Century:
A celebration of the work of Joseph Paxton.

The Landscape Institute North West Branch and the MMU Landscape Architecture Department in conjunction with the Landscape Institute have launched a design ideas competition to celebrate the work of Joseph Paxton.

Joseph Paxton was the designer of some of the earliest public parks in the world, in Birkenhead and Liverpool. As such, he is one of the most influential figures for the landscape profession today. As a way of celebrating his life and legacy we would like to invite design teams to conceive and envisage a public park for the 21st Century.

The competition is open to all disciplines but a Landscape Architect must lead the team.

To register interest in the competition please email your team name and contact details to JosephPaxtonCompetitionatgmail.com.

Registrations by 24.07.15. Submission of entries 04.09.15.

Each team must produce 1 no. A1 board. An award of £1000 will be presented to the winning entries and each submission will be part of an exhibition at MMU in October 2015.

Further information on the competition including the full brief can be found on LINW site or please free to email Kate at JosephPaxtonCompetitionatgmail.com for further details.
